By far the highlight on our trip to Paris was this; seeing The New Order magazine display inside the world's most influencial store, colette Paris!! Continuously pinching ourselves every time we walked past the store for the duration of Paris Fashion Week, we did take some inside shots of the displays. As you may know, this issue we have two covers; worlds biggest graffiti artist KAWS and pop artist Murakami. Selling exclusively at colette throughout Fashion Week, they sold out!

With one of our writers at the printers this morning we got a sneak peak at the magazine coming to fruition. Check out the video below! See more from inside the magazine here at Slamxhype, and you can buy our successful first publications here! Enjoy x

The New Order Issue 02 Coming Soon from Slamxhype on Vimeo.

I have been writing for French magazine LURVE now for three months and have really enjoyed the first issue. It is great to have a magazine out there that is battling the crowds for a creatively demanding audience. The LURVE website here has recently posted some fantastic lyrics from our favourite soulstress; Grace Jones. I thought I just had to share, they are very cool.

Love me in a picture,
Kiss me in a cast,
Touch me in a sculpture,
Whisper in my mask.

Don't ask me any questions,
My personal life is a bore,
Admire me in glory,
An Art Groupie. That's all.

Grace Jones- Art Groupie

Fantastic song and great phrasing which, for me, conjures up many visual images. Thanks LURVE!

Looking forward to issue TWO xx

The last two months have been crazy busy here for me. I have just returned home from our honeymoon in Europe which was amazing and I secretly never wanted to leave! So I have not had the time to share anything from the last few months. I will try now...

I wanted to share with you an insight to the amazing new magazine LURVE. A bi-annual  arts/fashion magazine predominately aimed at women, that goes beyond the surface of hype and brings to the air some amazing new and undiscovered talent, not to mention some already familiar names in a different light.

Put together from Berlin and Paris by Lyna Ahanda, I was given the opportunity to be the Arts Co-ordinator for issue one. We touched base with Terrence Koh, Merly Smith, Chadwick Tyler and Yuval Pudik. Having only seen a couple of proofs before buying a copy at Colette, I was very impressed with the design and layout of the magazine, not only in the fashion editorials shot by Martina Olsson, John Gripenholm and Sebastien Agnetti, but in the overall aesthetic of the magazine.

A great project to be involved in I cannot wait to help with the next issue! Here is a little sampler from inside...

We have printed, sealed and delivered. After weeks of preparation our team have produced our first magazine which has every inch of quality that we had hoped.
The New Order is a new quarterly art and fashion magazine, featuring exclusive content from all around the world. Talented and high profile writers and photographers from Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia and many other corners of the globe have contributed to The New Order, making for a magazine that is quite unlike anything else.
The first issue of The New Order is packed full of great interviews with prominent figures from both the art and fashion worlds, indicative of the magazine's philosophy to look behind the fashion and art and examine the people responsible for making it. Ian Astbury of The Cult, Shawn Mortensen, Richard Prince, Dan Colen, Nate Lowman, Hiroshi Fujiwara, Jose Parla, Keiichi Nitta, Nonnative, Nexus VII, Dr Romanelli, Band of Outsiders, Wood Wood, Bless, Henrik Vibskov, Comme Des Garcons, Visvim, Cassette Playa, Eric Elms, Geoff McFetridge and O.H.W.O.W. represent just a small portion of the people and brands featured in this packed first issue. The New Order also contains regular columns by Fraser Cooke, Aaron 'A-Ron the Downtown Don' Bondaroff, and Aaron Rose amongst others, providing a unique insight into the musings of several iconic figures of street culture, art and fashion.
Issue One is out now!!
Available online at slamxhype.com/tno-mag and honeyee.com , and in stores worldwide in the coming weeks.

A magazine that will hold its relevance in years to come, a collectors book rather than current suggestions. A huge step forward in the print world, this one will take you by storm. Promise x

The past month for me has consisted of late nights and early mornings. I am sleep deprived and have grown a love/hate relationship with my computer, BUT.. it is all worth it! Keeping it as secret as I can... There is a new magazine coming to your shelves that will blow your socks off. I promise. There are some amazing people involved and a fantastic team behind The New Order Magazine.
Having gone to print this week, this is all I can share..... at this point. x

I just fell over this beautiful site and had to share! For those of you that haven't yet been introduced to the inspiring world of Nomenus Quarterly, it is a magazine that focuses on the physical act of creation, and in most cases are works that are unpublished or are specifically created for the magazine. The limited edition folios are sold internationally and only print a small number of copies. Each issue differs slightly in terms of production as each is hand made and bound. Here is a peek inside their latest works online.
Sold at Colette Paris and Barneys New York to name a few. For more see here.

Following on from Reggie's post on TAR Magazine, I have just looked through the magazine myself and was blown away. Never have I seen such a well put together book, not only aesthetically but in terms of content and contributors too.

The creative within TAR Magazine, directed by Neville Wakefield, is like the team decided that they would create the worlds best arts/culture magazine and push any boundary that any previous magazine has created before now. From the transparent paper inserts to photography by Terry Richardson and Juergen Teller, this movement mag curates you through our socially conscious world of right now.

It seems that every new page turned is a surprise and an inspiration. What a wonderful hour.
TAR only comes out twice a year, so if you haven't already got hold of the first issue, be first in line for the next.
