We have been doing some great road trips around our North Island over the last few weekends as the weather gets warmer and warmer down here. I love getting out of the city and getting to explore this beautiful country I live in. New Zealand's east coast is the master of producing wonderful beaches, one of which is Mount Manganui. We visited here last weekend and did some amazing coastal walks around the mountain.. and caught some harsh NZ rays!! eek! We also got the chance to dig into some small town second hand stores ( one of my favourite past times) and we managed to stumble across these!! All four of them for under $100.... ridiculous! AND they ALL work! scored. happy....

It made me wonder if his career had developed though out a different time in history what sort of mischief he may have got up to. Even more interesting is the the thought of what he would have made of todays situation. A man who lived and breathed America, it seemed as though the upcoming world issues at the time were heavily involved in his choice to leave the world. But made me wonder what sort of impact he may have had today to the extent that I ask myself could he have played a role in taming todays ongoing disastrous happenings.

Long live the words of Hunter S.Thompson, hopefully we can all take something from what he has said and allow his thoughts to impact on the way we see the world today.

This would all be thanks to the wonderfully dressed girls of La Beat Debauchery. Three foursome pair up every few weekends to play for a keen audience who are sippin', dancin', and lovin' this team to pieces! They wear cute lil' outfits (matching of course) and have the best collection of vinyl I have ever witnessed.

Heres their latest poster for their next gig in Auckland at the ever loved D.O.C bar....

See you there!
