Last weekend I spoke to a group of fashion and media students visiting town from Columbia College in Chic-ago. 60 years of Japanese street fashion history in 45 minutes. Whew.
They are putting on an anime inspired fashion inspired show in a couple of months--what would Kawakubo-san say about this cultural export influencing the world of fashion? I will try to ask her at the Vuitton-Garcons opening.
