Solar Shingles, Vertical Farms, Wooden Bones, Spiderweb Silk and Levitating Mice!

These are just a few of the 50 Best Inventions Of the Year, according to the current issue of TIME magazine.

What else is on the list? Tank-bred (i.e. farmed) bluefin tuna (a feat that skeptics once thought could not be done), Teleportation! ("U of Maryland's Joint Quantum Institute successfully teleported data from one atom to another in a container 1 meter away") although the implications support more imminent advancements in computer technology than Start Trek-grade travel abilities, so don't get too excited; being able to Tweet just by thinking (imagine that!), an electronic eye (which will, one day in the near future, allow blind people to see), the Yike Bike and Universal Unicycle (which, like the Segway, will likely just perpetuate indulgent laziness) and YouTube Funk (you've seriously got to see this!) Despite whether or not you agree with the validity of the list, it's definitely worth checking out.
