Ok, it's not this, but it's totally worth a ride around the east river. "The NYC Waterfalls" is the brain child of Olafur Eliasson, and produced in conjunction with Public Art Fund. There are four falls peppering the east river. The one under the Brooklyn bridge has the most successful proportion of armature to water, you'll even get a bit of 'waterfall rush'.
