Well, I'm not much of a Valentines person, to me showing someone's love is not a one-day a year event, nor can it be wrapped up in a glittery pink and red card embossed with some overarching love statement. But, as to disprove what some may interpret as a "love-bashing attitude," I have to give it up for my man who yesterday delivered one hell of a Valentines gift (early of course, keeping secrets is not his style.) Here she is....the one in pink! It's so lovely; I fear it will make more of a splash hanging on our walls then being covered in wax.

This slinky handcrafted beauty of a board is from the OC's newest collective of shapers and artists, slave4soup. Definitely worth a trip to OC and while your down there, might as well catch some waves...

On the horizon, an inspired laid back surf shop and the talent and wit of an artist merge for Bury Me in the Sand, Geoff McFetridge's exhibition at Mollusk. The opening is Friday April 25th 7-10pm. He will be showing a mix of drawings, small paintings and small edition silk-screened prints. Word is, he did 7 new prints for the show that are related to the beach and beachers (those who go to the beach everyday) Trace Marshall is going to DJ the opening. The surfboards they carry here are legend. What a way to get your feet wet for summer....
