I have to say, I'm not really into the Olympics this year.  Except for a few interesting, underdog characters that have caught my attention.

One of them is Ronda Rousey. She's overcome personal , physical and emotional limitations to become the underdog favorite to win Judo in the Olympics.

At 21 she's lived quite a full and interesting life which she writes about in her straight forward, down to earth blog. It's an interesting and entertaining read.

Ladies, meet your new source of inspiration. This is 41 year old Dana Torres.  No she's not an actress, or reality TV star. She is a mom, and now, Olympic hopeful--for the 5th time.

It's been 24 years since Torres last competed and we can only hope to look this good at her age. Of course, her full time job is training.

But, it's paying off because last week in Omaha, where the U.S. Olympic preliminary trials were held, she placed second to a woman half her age. And quite frankly, she's in better shape than most 21 year olds.

Now, Torres will swim in Beijing as a member of the 400 free relay. That's inspiring. I'll be watching her.
