This hilarious marketing stunt for Krispy Kreme donuts comes from one of my favorite UK PR companies, Mischief.
Mischief (the name says it all) launched the organic, grass growing flip flops in order to help Londoners "reduce stress by taking a walk in the park." Oh, and why not have a donut while you're at it.
Visually, I think it's very funny. Realistically, I think it would be annoying to have grass growing flip flops under my toes, but it says a lot for a brand that's willing to have a sense of humor about itself. And, that's really what we're talking about here... perception.
I guess if the concrete jungle gets to be too much for some, you can take your "mobile meadow' with you.
