V: We are out living, we are very social. We don't believe in being sequestered in a studio somewhere. It’s the whole movement and our friends that inspire us. Getting into a collective spirit is great for idea exchange.

People tend to slag Los Angeles as being a culture-less city. The last few years have seen a huge art and fashion influx into this city, in addition to the media fueled celebrity industrial complex that drives a lot of high end brands. What are your feelings on this?

We talk about this a lot. We have lived here for 2 years. We almost moved to NY for a minute. LA is rad. We have a lot of great friends, we create our own scene. Its definitely about creating your niche. Its so spread out you have to make an effort, but we don’t mind that. For us its the weather, Mexican food and we can wear skimpy outfits.

In NYC people like to pretend that cheesy people don’t exist but hello- take the subway at rush hour and you see real people everyday. Samantha Magowan our artist friend, said LA allows you to create your own space. Here u can create your own creative climate. You can choose to be immersed. It’s the perfect place for a home base.

Do you have a favorite museum or gallery you like to go to?

There are a lot of friends downtown in lofts, creating cool work. The Getty for its space and architecture. The Museum of Natural History. They have cool music events there too. The Norton Simon.

You guys are artists and have a site on Myspace, how do you feel about the social networking phenomenon and how it affects branding, communication and business?

Major inspiration as of now: Futuristic movies. Especially Stanley Kubrick movies like 2001: A Space Odyssey. Technology has permeated our lives. Like on a daft punk level. Myspace is another, and the internet is another dimension. Future, past and present all exist on the same plane. A kind of Kubrick idea. The global aspect here is really important. We can blog a whole day and get music for free. Its all very immediate. It changes how you perceive the world. We are techno hippies; spiritual and embracing technology.
