A long time ago, a lanky; yet, curvy goldilocks fashionista, decided to ignore her credit card bill and went in search for the perfect bathing suit. She felt like a girl of 19 again, rummaging through each department store rack, preparing for spring break 1993! Like any warm blooded female animal, she thought Barneys was her lottery ticket. She was disappointed. She ransacked Saks. She was disappointed.  She ran to Bergdorf Goodman. She wanted to call the National Guard. What was up? Her curls started to straighten from the stress of shopping.
She hit the streets and a dress in the window of Circa Now, caught her attention. Goldie tried it on, she loved it and ask the smiling saleswoman, "Do you have any bathing suits???"  Behind a beautiful vintage jacket, out came a black form fitting 50's style one piece suit that either tied up around your neck or the string became bow below your neck line. The black suit was Holy like the Torah, Grand like the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, and sexy like Betty Paige.  The smiling sales lady said, "It's by Rockaway Beach Bikinis, and you can wear this as a top." She reach for some vintage Levi's, Goldie wrapped her stampede of curls in a bun and was ready to go out and paint the town with Paige, the name of the best suit on the planet. Circa Now was happy, she bought everything. The next week she went back for the Hunter Green Paige. The following week she bought the Plum Paige. The following week she bought Rockaway Suits for the holidays, even though it was July. Paige and Goldie were BFF. Goldie turned into a detective and tracked down creators  Mui Ying Kwan and Vida Dominguez and they all became fast friends. Last week, Rockaway Beach Bikinis held their NYC Fashion week show in a Long Island City Garage, and let's just say Goldie has a new credit card to max out! The new stripped Barbie and the Green two piece Corduroy will decorate her closet. The materials are innovative, and the silver suit just screams Lady GaGa for all of you who want to go to the beach on the moon. These suits are flattering and exuberant, you will be the Best Betty on the Beach.
