Mia Doi Todd's new music video for "Open Your Heart" has been receiving a lot well-deserved attention. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Michel Gondry, the video is kaleidoscope of colorful visuals and clever filmmaking. FLUX presented the World Premiere for the video this past December at UCLA's Hammer museum, which included a special live performance by Mia Doi Todd, Michel Gondry and friends.

The program also included the premiere of a new NASA music video, Jury winners from the Protoclip music video festival in Paris and brand new videos presented by special guest filmmakers Allison Schulnik, Kevin Phillips, Stefan Nadelman and Radical Friend.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus

A Terry Gilliam Film
Tuesday, December 8, 2009

CINEMA TUESDAYS at Nike Sportswear at The Montalbán puts an extra sparkle in December with an exclusive VIP screening of filmmaker Terry Gilliam's The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus on Tuesday, December 8, 2009. Curated by Flux, the highly successful CINEMA TUESDAYS film series has featured premieres and advance screenings of some of the most-talked about films.

This special event also serves as a benefit for the Australians in Film Heath Ledger Scholarship in honor of the late actor. The screening is presented in partnership with LA-based Australians in Film, a non-profit, membership organization that supports and celebrates the work of Australian film and television makers.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus is director Terry Gilliam ("Time Bandits", "Brazil", "Twelve Monkeys") and screenwriter Charles McKeown's first collaboration since the much-celebrated The Adventures of Baron Munchausen. It stars the late Heath Ledger in his final acting performance and features Johnny Depp, Jude Law, Colin Farrell and Christopher Plummer.

The film is a fantastical morality tale, set in the present-day. It tells the story of Dr. Parnassus and his extraordinary 'Imaginarium', a travelling show where members of the audience get an irresistible opportunity to choose between light and joy or darkness and gloom.

A Sony Pictures Classics release, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus opens in Los Angeles theatres on December 25th.

Guests will be encouraged to attend in their most festive attire as the Montalbán will metamorphose into a magical Imaginarium inspired by the film. Complimentary food and hot coffee drinks will be served as well as refreshing beverages courtesy of Belvedere Vodka and Coopers brewery.

Special Screening Tuesday, December 8, 2009
7:00 PM: VIP pre-reception with donation to AiF Heath Ledger Scholarship
7:30 PM: Doors Open
8:00 PM: Screening
10:00 PM: Reception with special guest DJ Mark Rae (Rae and Christian) and complimentary beverages courtesy of Belvedere Vodka and Coopers brewery.
