After attending Corey Helford Gallery's opening for FOUR last night and walking the Culver City Artwalk today, you deserve a well-earned shoe splurge. KEEP is having a sale at their new downtown HQ on Saturday and Sunday. Brendan Fowler and Ooga Booga friends will be DJing at 418 Bamboo Lane, Los Angeles, 90012.

And for camp Beverly Hills, Prada is having a sale.
And for the NYC set, stop by ALIFE's Summer Sale.

Also, tonight check out a special one-night event at La Luz De Jesus Gallery featuring a collaboration between recording artist Aimee Mann and visual artist Gary Taxali. Taxali has contributed 17 original illustrations for the packaging of Mann's new CD and 7th solo release @#%&! Smilers. Both Taxali and Mann will be present to sign copies of the new CD.

Amor Munoz is one of my favorite new artists. Her work came to my attention last year through Gary Baseman, who collaborated with her for his Los Angeles solo show.
Amor's art has a clean graphic style that I admire, and she infuses it with provocative imagery. Her Walk The Porn shoe series is one of my favorites and most recent art acquisition. Check out her website, which features more of Amor's work.

Amor is from Mexico City, and she will be having a solo show in NYC next month, which will include painting, embroidery and video.

Mark your calendars! On May 17, Nov York CIty opens at Alife in Los Angeles. Based on Dumar Brown's novel The World Screaming Nov, the exhibition features new work by Eric Haze.

Eric is creating eight archival silkscreen works on canvas, and I am looking forward to seeing his work in person. He has been a notable figure in the design and fashion community over the last few decades, and his iconic graphics have defined the visual language of hip hop bands such as the Beastie Boys, Public Enemy and LL Cool J.

The event also marks the debut of the The World Screaming Nov collaborative set, which includes a signed copy of Brown's novel and a custom Alife t-shirt designed by Eric Haze.

Look for more art events at Alife LA in the coming months, as they will be presenting special exhibitions throughout the year.
