The grandson of an Oklahoma moonshine runner and the son of a 1950's pinstriper, Skratch started working on hot rods at age 16 in Fort Worth, Texas because it was in his blood. Soon, he had established a money making business buying and selling used Camaro parts locally. With an ever growing appetite for cars, he soon started buying cars outside the city, fixing them up and selling them for profit. By the age of 20, he had rented his first shop and began modding 1950's Oldsmobiles and Chevrolets. At age 26, he quit and moved to the West Coast - the U.S. capital of Hot Rods. Soon, his pinstriping talents were noticed by various builders at events, and his new career in L.A. was born...Skratch's Garage.

Not To Be Reproduced is a house in the Hollywood Hills turned vintage boutique/art gallery/performance space. The concept began in the fall of 2007 as a high-end, appointment-only vintage boutique. Mario Testino was one of the first customers and supporters. Courtney Love chose the space to sell pieces from her own vintage and couture collection. And Sally Singer did a write-up of the space for Nov. '07 Vogue, within a month of NTBR's creation. As word spread about the house, actresses like Kate Bosworth, Melonie Diaz and Sophia Bush became customers. And stylist Karl Templer began pulling looks from the store for Steven Meisel's Italian Vogue shoots.
The concept of the house/store lead to the idea of a carefully curated lifestyle space of fashion, music and art. NTBR began hosting salon-style events that have so far included a reading by author A.M. Homes, musical performances by Devendra Banhart, Justin Bond and Weimar NY, actress/singer Jena Malone, and folk-artist Mariee Sioux. As well as a screening by Director M Blash of his film Lying starring Chloe Sevigny. Art on display and for sale in the house, has included works by Tracey Emin, David LaChapelle, Thomas Struth, and Christoph Draeger.

And of course we love Chanel every chance we get.
